Homework Policy:
* It is the desire of the School Commitee that homework be assigned to all students on a regular basis. While the responsibility for procedures and other operational matters are delegated to the professional staff, the following time allotments are recommended:
Grades K-1: 100 min. Weekly/ 25 min. daily Grades 2-3: 120 min. Weekly/ 40 min. daily Grades 4-5: 180 min. Weekly/ 60-90 min. daily
Attendance Policy:
* It is crucial that children attend school every day. According to Massachusetts General Laws, " Every person in control of a child shall cause him/her to attend school as therein required. If he/she fails to do so for seven day sessions or fourteen half-day sessions within any period of six months, he/she shall, on the complaint of the Attendance Officer, be punished by the law." If there are extenuating circumstances in your family that prevent your child from attending school, you should contact the Attendance Officer at (978) 740-1232. Failure to comply with the state law regarding school attendance may result in court action.(See school handbook for complete attendance policy procedures.)
