Can you find the tadpole's legs?
Our tadpole has grown legs! Students observed, measured, labeled, and drew what they had seen. Not only did we see tiny legs like this picture shows, but we discoverd that our tadpole is about 2 - 2 1/2 inches long (It's difficult to measure a live creature that moves around). We noticed that there are air bubbles on the top of the water that were made by the tadpole. At this stage, the tadpole's lungs are developing so it goes to the surface to breathe air. When it does this, bubbles are formed on the surface of the water.
